Awards Overview
Mission
The mission of the WAVE Awards is to recognize outstanding service providers in the Kent County hospitality industry. This annual awards program is a partnership between Experience Grand Rapids and the Kent County Lodging Association.
Nomination Process
One award will be presented in each of the following eight categories:
- Restaurants/Breweries*
- Lodging < 150 Rooms*
- Lodging > 150 Rooms*
- Transportation
- Retail & Service
- Attractions/Events
- Nightlife
- Volunteer in Hospitality*
*Updated or new category for 2013.
Nominations will be accepted from both employers and guests from April 30 – October 7, 2013. A maximum of three individuals may be nominated from each business. Nomination forms may be submitted online or printed and sent in.
Winners will be selected by a panel of judges and recognized at the Impacting Hospitality Celebration on November 21, 2013. Employers, nominees and guests are all encouraged to attend this event.
